Treslúce's La Flor de México eyeshadow palette, imagined as a concept for the Mexican brand: the royal-blue case open on marigolds, watercolour florals, tropical leaves and hand-painted ceramics.
The palette is named after a flower, so the concept surrounds it with them. The royal-blue case opens on eighteen pans of warm shades, from cream and peach to copper, olive and a deep brown, and each frame sets it among blooms: marigolds and dahlias on cream, a painted garden, watercolour flowers with a hummingbird.
The blue does the work. Against orange and magenta flowers it looks deeper, against a dusk gradient of teal and amber it almost disappears into the shadow and then catches gold on the wordmark. Leaves cast shadows across the lid, petals drift down, a round floral wreath glows behind it like a stage set.
The last frame turns from flowers to craft. The open palette rests on blush pink among hand-painted clay pieces, with swipes of colour streaked across the surface beside it. It is the only swatch in the set, and it brings the colours from the pans onto a surface where a shopper can judge them.
