Red by the rainforest.

The sofa is the loudest object in the house and the set lets it be. Against green trees, blue water and grey concrete, the red reads from across the room, and every wide frame places it so the eye lands there first.

The Dalia tables answer it in white. They sit low on a round blue rug, petal-shaped tops at slightly different heights, and the close frames come down to their level to show how the forms nest together. The rug's blue fades toward its edge like water.

The light is late afternoon, coming low through the glass and catching the quilted texture of the sofa. The detail frames are about that texture, the bubbles of the upholstery and the stitched seams between them. The white armchairs pick up the same ribs in a quieter colour.
