A stair into the garden.

This is a lived-in apartment, and the listing lets it be one. The double-height room opens on a stair of thick timber treads, a round table with cane chairs and a piano by the window, all in warm late light.

Upstairs the roof is a garden: cactus, palms and planters around a stone terrace, a lounger, two rattan chairs, and under the glass roof a marble kitchen island that runs out toward the plants. Indoors, the kitchen is blue lacquer with a steel hood.

The private rooms keep the owner's taste in view: an orange bedroom with two city posters, a study lined with books, a bathroom with a checkerboard floor. The frames stay wide, so each room is read as a whole and as someone's home.
