Pools, from above.

A resort this size is a plan before it is a set of rooms, so the drone goes first. Straight down, the children's pool is a blue map of slides and islands; higher still, the whole site appears, towers, pools and parking, set into red earth.

Then the ground. Long pools curve between palm trees and rows of loungers, a covered pool sits under concrete beams, pergolas throw striped shade on the paving. The light is early and soft, the water still, and the frames are kept wide so the scale reads.

The rooms are simple and the shoot keeps them so: teal walls, striped bed skirts, a framed bird-of-paradise print. The drone returns for the last frame, over a mini golf course laid out like a drawing, and the resort ends as it began, seen whole.
