Adriana Gouveia's Petit Resort at CASACOR: a rooftop terrace of slatted timber pergolas, a plunge pool set into the deck and lounges in green under a full sky.
A roof is the hardest room to plan, because it has no walls to lean on. This one builds its own: tall timber slats rise from the deck, a pergola frames the lounge, and coloured glass panels catch the sun between the posts.
The pictures start wide, the whole terrace against the hills and the sky, then walk in. The plunge pool sunk into the boards, the green modular sofas, a pink pouf on timber, towels left on the edge as if someone has just climbed out.
Daylight was hard and clear, so the timber is kept honey rather than orange and the whites hold their detail. Eleven frames, enough to read the whole roof as one place to spend a day.
