Eight group still lifes for El Palacio de Hierro's Festival de Belleza: perfumery, makeup, the fragrance gallery, skincare, haircare, men's care and candles, each grouped on its own pastel set.
A bodegón is a still life, and the department store asked for eight of them, one per counter. Each is a wide banner with the products packed to the right and a calm field of colour to the left, where the festival copy will sit. The brief is visible in the crop: the products earn the frame, the empty wall earns the headline.
The sets are built from a few shapes used again and again. An arched niche in mint, lilac or striped red and blue, a quarter circle of sun yellow, a wall split in two colours. Perfume bottles stand in a row before mint, lip oils stack on their sides against lilac, sunscreens and a body lotion line up on mauve.
Every counter keeps its own register. Fragrance gets gold caps and tall glass, makeup gets a red lipstick, a nail polish and a blush duo on yellow, men's care sits on grey and terracotta, the candle frame closes on three ribbed vessels in burgundy, lime and cream. Eight colour schemes, one festival, and a shopper can tell the floors apart at a glance.
