A studio concept for swimwear, set on Ipanema beach at noon, under Dois Irmãos.

Ipanema has the most photographed dress code in Brazil, and everyone on the sand knows it: a small bikini, dark glasses, a canga to lie on, and a cup of mate poured from the vendor's steel barrels.

The concept shows one swim line the way it is actually worn there, from morning to late afternoon. Rinsing off under a beach shower with Dois Irmãos behind. Sunk into a low folding chair. On her stomach on a printed canga, feet in the air. Sitting on the rocks as the light turns gold. The model is a redhead with freckles, which on Ipanema is nothing unusual: the beach has always mixed every kind of Brazilian.

The light is the hard overhead sun Rio is known for, and nothing was done to soften it. Swimwear that looks good at noon looks good all day.
