A galley, end to end.

A galley kitchen is a corridor, and Camila Rocha treats it like one. A single light line runs down a ceiling of waved oak slats, and the eye follows it past the steel fridge and ovens to the table at the far end.

The counters are white marble with soft grey veins, the lower joinery is sage, the upper cabinets carry cane fronts. One counter end curls down to the floor like a ribbon of stone. Ovens and a tall steel fridge are built flush into the oak, so the run stays unbroken.

The coverage alternates. Tall frames shoot the length of the room, wide frames stop at the sink, the induction top and the table set with terracotta plates and two glasses. The last frame is the reason for the corridor: two chairs, two glasses, a vase of baby's breath.
