A bed that floats.

Light runs under everything. The bed sits on a warm strip that lifts it off the carved rug, the shelves are lined in light, and the open wardrobe glows from every rail. The room reads as a set of soft shapes floating in the dark.

Alessandra Gandolfi draws the wall in thin black lines, a face and loose circles in grey and brown, and answers it with white bouclé: a headboard like a cloud, a sofa of stacked spheres, a pleated canvas ceiling that ripples toward the window.

The pictures go close on the textures, the bouclé, the travertine side table, a knitted green throw in a basket. Wide frames show the room from the window to the open wardrobe, where clothes, shoes and a backpack sit on lit shelves as if the owner had just stepped out.
