Stone, lit from behind.

The stone does most of the talking. Pale granite with dark, mineral veins covers walls, counter and shower, and the plaster walls between them are cut in a wavy edge with light hidden behind, so the room seems to glow from inside its own surfaces.

Two mirrors with irregular outlines are backlit in warm white above a floating double vanity. At the far end the tub sits on a bed of river stones, in front of a planter of grasses under a bamboo blind. A long rail on the far wall holds nothing but a hand-strung necklace of wooden beads.

The close frames are still lifes: a green stone tray with a candle and a brush, a beaded necklace hung on a rail like a sculpture, two wooden stools with slippers. Robes hang by the tub, and the shower is a stone gully lit along its edges.
