Victoria Pinheiro's jewellery salon for CASACOR Goiânia 2024, photographed as a shop window: necklaces on linen busts, acrylic vitrines on brass, and an oval walnut table for the fitting.
A jewellery space has one job, which is to make a small object carry a whole room. Victoria Pinheiro does it with walnut boxes set into a brass grid, each one lit from inside, each one holding a single bust and a single necklace.
The pictures follow the same scale. Wide frames show the grid and the consulting table with its leather chairs, then the camera moves in until a green stone pendant fills a portrait frame and the walnut behind it goes soft.
The marble floor and the cream busts keep the palette quiet, so the only saturated colour on the page is the stone at the end of each chain. Gold edges on the vitrines catch the light once, and the eye goes back to the necklace.
