A concept for Roche Bobois: one sculptural black desk and one bouclé armchair, staged in a double-height São Paulo loft with the skyline filling the glass behind them.

Two pieces carry the whole set. The desk is a single black form that folds down to the floor at an angle, and the armchair beside it is soft, white and rounded. Every frame is built on that contrast, hard against soft, dark against light.

The room does the rest. Raw concrete, full-height glass, shelves of books and a fiddle-leaf fig give the furniture a working life, while the city stays out of focus behind it. The overhead frames show the desk as a plan, a black wedge on a pale rug.

Close-ups follow the edge of the desk where it meets the floor and the curve of the armchair's back, the two details a buyer looks for before asking the price. Nothing else is styled around them beyond a laptop, a lamp and a stack of books.
