Nildo José's Casa 01 at CASACOR São Paulo 2024: a whole house in terracotta and timber, from a round dining room to a bedroom and bath opening onto bands of garden.

The house is one palette carried through every room: terracotta floor tiles laid in a woven pattern, timber walls cut in low relief, ceilings that curve into light coves. The plan changes, the materials do not.

Garden windows are cut low and long, so the green arrives as a band at eye level: behind the bed, behind the sofa, below the bathroom mirror. Shutters filter the light over the tub.

The sequence also stops on the details that make a house look lived in: a library desk with pinned photographs, a pantry of baskets and jars, a lounge chair by the window.
