Tru by Hilton in Criciúma, shot from the colour-blocked facade through the round front desk, the lounge of hanging chairs, the Top It breakfast bar and rooms lined in green, blue and yellow.
Most hotels ask the photographer to make them look calm. This one asks to look loud, and the pictures let it. The facade carries a column of blue and yellow tiles, and the lobby answers with teal armchairs, a geometric rug and rattan chairs hanging from the ceiling.
Inside, the frames stay wide and straight so the colour reads as architecture rather than decoration: the circular front desk under its ring of light, booth seating in teal and mustard, a meeting table with pink chairs, the breakfast bar with its yellow wall and greeting in several languages.
The rooms keep the idea small. White beds, pale walls, and one painted niche each, green, blue or yellow, holding the desk and the wardrobe. A round blue mirror closes the set in the bathroom, the same blue as the tiles on the facade, so the last frame answers the first.
