Bridal photography tends to have one setting, the ceremony, and one expression, the happiest day. This concept treats the bride as a portrait sitter instead, and lets her stay home.

Home is a modernist house with a pool and a garden, a stone path through tropical planting at dusk, and a white room where the window throws leaf shadows across lace. Some pictures are in black and white, close and quiet: a bare shoulder, a single white rose, a skirt pooled around a small wooden stool. Two brides, two very different gowns: a lace mermaid and a structured off-the-shoulder satin.

There is no groom, no altar and no confetti. Without them, the dress is seen for what it is: something a woman chose to wear, not a costume for an event.
