Gigante Café's specialty coffees as composed packshots: the Finca bags for El Diviso, Aquiares Estate and Zarza Coffee, the Original, and the Esperanza and Pink Bourbon tins, each floating among its tasting notes.
A specialty coffee bag lists tasting notes most buyers skim past. This set puts them in the air instead. Apple slices, wafers and dates orbit El Diviso. Passion fruit and pineapple fly around Aquiares Estate. Chocolate squares and caramel cubes tumble past Zarza.
The bags are graphic already, big red type and a block of colour per farm, so the grounds stay out of the way: a pale grey void for most, a matching purple, green or yellow podium for the hero versions. Beans pile at the foot of every frame like a shadow.
The tins get a wilder treatment, beans bursting from the open top with berries and a splash of juice, as if the can had just been dropped. It is the same idea turned up: the flavour made visible before anyone opens the bag.
