Lunch with Alentejo wine.

A restaurant shot in its own room. The tables are round and white, the chairs grey, the planted wall of the terrace just behind. Codfish with peppers and olives, steak with roasted potatoes, a mushroom pasta: each arrives in the copper-handled pans the kitchen serves in.

The wine frames are simpler, a bottle and a glass on the marble with the green wall soft behind, white for one, red for the other. The orange label carries across both, so the pair reads as one house pour, two ways.

Easter gets its own corner. A colomba under a knotted linen wrap, one topped with almonds and one savoury, on a board in a straw nest with a toy bunny. A boxed chocolate egg and an espresso complete the order a regular might place for the holiday.
