Lunch in the garden.

A restaurant with a garden should not be photographed in a studio. The terrace is the reason people book, so every plate was shot there, on the worn hardwood tables, with the green behind it doing the work a backdrop usually does.

The set moves the way a meal does. Starters on boards first, then the plates that carry the menu, then the drinks: grapefruit, strawberry, dragon fruit, each glass held against the same leaves so the colour reads before the name does.

The blue gingham comes out for the dishes that want it and goes away for the ones that do not. Everything else stays as the guest will find it.
