Labeyrie smoked salmon in a concept set: slices on blue-rimmed plates, filled rolls on a terrace above a bay, salmon toasts on a sailboat deck, a carpaccio with capers and a long table seen from above.
The pack opens the series, the Labeyrie Norvège slab beside a glass bowl of salmon and feta held in two hands. From there the plates go outdoors: a terrace above a blue bay, rolls filled with salmon, olives in a bowl and bread in a basket.
The salmon is nearly always on blue and white: hand-painted plates, a striped cloth, a navy napkin tied with rope. Around it, Greek salad, hummus, grilled sea bream with lemon. It eats like a Mediterranean lunch, not a cold-cuts board.
The sailboat frame is the one to remember, salmon toasts on a tray on the deck, wine glasses, a porthole, the sail behind. The overhead table is its opposite, every dish laid out on linen and the salmon one plate among many.
